Daffodil Bulbs

600 hectares of daffodil bulbs are currently grown, primarily on a 2 year rotation.

The bulbs are lifted, pre-cleaned, dried and graded on the individual farms and delivered to the central pack-house in July and August for packing and despatch.

95% of the production is exported to the USA, Canada and mainland Europe, with a relatively small percentage remaining in the UK.

Grampian Growers are unique in having their own bulb certification scheme; set up in the 1970’s which continues today in order to maintain a high level of quality similar to the certification scheme of our Potato business.
