Grampian Growers are well into the flower picking and packing season with volumes of flowers passing through our facilities approaching their peak levels. Mothers Day is now a distant memory but we are now in our busiest week with the Easter weekend approaching.
As ever in Scotland our weather conditions have proved challenging in the early stages of our Spring. Highs of 18-20 degrees followed by overnight lows of just above freezing mixed with rain, wind and sleet have led to a variety of challenges for our packhouse, sales and QC teams. However the dillegence of our members along with the hard work of our seasonal staff has ensured that Grampian Growers have delivered the highest quality flowers possible.
We are now supplying to several major UK retaillers as well as exporting to the USA. The quality of the flowers produced in Scotland by Grampian Growers are second to none and typically will be on the shelves of our customers within 72 hours of leaving the field setting a standard for the rest of the industry to follow.
